                      Trainspotting: Renton's Betrayal Foreshadowing: Renton's betrayal was foreshadowed most obviously during the bar scene after Sick Boys's deal. When Begbie starts a bar fight and seriously injures the other man involved, Sick Boy and Spud immediately go to Begbie, while Renton remains seated. The close up shot of Renton's face, while the others crowd around Begbie ,extremely out of focus, represents his growing distance from the group. 

                          This is England: Title                               Sequence Montage Representation of 1980's England: The Montage opens with archive footage of Roland Rat, a popular children's television show character in the 80's. The song '54-46  Was My Number' by Toots and The Maytals plays over the Montage.
